i would sleep with alec baldwin...

It would seem that Martin Sheen has been replaced in my actors-I-would-do-even-though-I'm-straight affections by Alec Baldwin.

I know, it came as a suprise to me too - and imagine how he's gonna react. But hear me out. Sheen's just over the hill, he's past it, he's yesterday's news. And see how effortlessly cool, charming and funny Baldwin is with my future ex third-wife, Tina Fey?

He is the man.

ireland's most beautiful couple...

Jowly Foley!

The fucking head on me.

To be fair, if we were a couple, Nikki O'Callaghan of The Apprentice fame would be dramatically bringing up the average. Her new website is here. www.billsave.ie

sky player... playing...

video

From the todayfm.com comments, Paul says:

Sky Player is up and running now. We tested it and posted details on our SmartStuff facebook page. Microsoft and Sky were running more testing last weekend and now it seems to be working well. One issue we found was with the sound which did not work all the time. Other than that the application works well with buffer times short even on the high quality video setting and navigation to content easy and fast. |overall we really like it.

Paul
I think I may be in love with it. Except for the pricing which is a little bit steep for comfort.

movember fraud scandal...

Nordy Eoghan and JP are participating in Movember - the charity event where you grow a 'tache for the month of November. There's uproar on the texts, however - because the boys appear to be flouting the rules, as stated on the website movember.com

What do you think?  Here's the latest snap of the dynamic duo:

a dick... shun...

My name is Ray Foley and I'm an addict.

If I'm being totally honest, I'm addicted to many things. First, there are the normal things that you know you shouldn't do too much of but you keep doing anyway: Butter. The internet. Chips. The couch. Bitching.

Then there are the worrying things, like Solpadeine and booze. In my heart of hearts I know I'm not addicted to Solpadeine, but I sincerely believe it's the only man for the job. It might be that in-your-head placebo thing that my faith in it makes the pain stop, but I have tried all the other plink-plink fizz jobs, like Anadin and Disprin, but in my experience (and by Jesus, do I have sore-head experience - especially on Sunday mornings) Solpadeine just sorts it out, no messing. But I've heard and read enough negative reports about it and other pills being addictive, and laced with codeine-based drugs, that every time I pop a couple (which is really only a couple of times a month) I worry that I might be getting addicted.

Booze is another matter entirely. I'd drink every day if I could. I just love it. I know there are plenty of other people that are the same. A social couple of pints during the week, a big night out at the weekend, a quiet glass of wine or two over dinner, a whiskey or brandy before bed, a sharp G&T on a summer's day, or a hot toddy on a chilly autumn evening. I'm not an alcoholic but I bloody love drinking. Yet, isn't that just what an alcoholic would say? Which is probably worrying. Drinking in all my free time is what I did in college, and I'd do it again except, like college, I'd get quite fat and other people would think I was an dipso. So, I suppose, the only thing stopping me from total self-destruction via liver failure is vanity.

Then there's this:

I'm a Salad Cream fiend. I'm almost ashamed to tell you that every time I've gone to the fridge in the last couple of weeks, I've had a cheeky squirt of squeezy into my mouth. That's a few times a day for nearly three weeks. I just can't help myself - it's bizarre. And it doesn't have to be Heinz. My craving eschews the corporate boundaries of brand. Heinz or Chef - bring it on. I've always liked it but at the moment, I just LOVE it! There must be some sort of chemical or mineral imbalance in my system. If you're a nutrition expert I'd love to get your opinion on this - what am I missing in my diet that Salad Cream is providing? But Salad Cream? Who ever thought of putting cream on a salad?

Actually, while I'm on the subject of condiment addiction, Emer, a lovely twitter follower says her bloke has the same Salad Cream addiction as me, and she herself is hooked on curry chips with Mayonnaise. Gross. I can't eat curry chips without Chef ketchup. Yes, ketchup with curry sauce.

And speaking/writing of Chef ketchup - they changed the recipe a while back to a shitty watered-down version, which is more Heinz than Chef. HOWEVER! If you order ketchup in a restaurant, and you're lucky enough that the eatery has Chef brand, you'll find that the catering bottles of chef still have the old recipe stuff in them. That lovely, gloopy, thick sauce is still out there - you just need to know where to get it. Although I'd love to know why they changed it in the first place. I mean, why mess with perfection?
